Kevin Durant Charity Foundation announces “BUILD IT AND THEY WILL BALL” Courts Renovation Initiative in partnership with Nike
Kevin Durant and the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation (KDCF) partnered with Nike to announce the “BUILD IT AND THEY WILL BALL” Courts Renovation Initiative. This is an annual program that will work to build or renovate basketball courts and make them accessible to underprivileged youth across the United States and internationally. The court underlays will include Nike Grind, a premium material made from recycled athletic shoes and Nike manufacturing scrap that provides cushioning and durability.
This initiative will further the mission of the Kevin Durant Charity Foundation to enrich the lives of youth from low-income backgrounds through various educational and athletic programs. The first three locations where this initiative will be launched are Oklahoma City, OK, Washington, D.C. and Berlin, Germany. These courts will be open to the public by September 2015.
